Reservations


Why, when I make a reservation for a particular vehicle, do they not give me the brand that I requested?

When renting a car, you request a category, that is, a type of car. In this, several models of different brands are assigned in order to cover the greatest possible variety of cars with the same characteristics.

Can I rent the car in my name and have someone else drive it?

 

Yes. Once the holder presents the corresponding documentation for the opening of the contract, he must inform the executive at the counter of the need for an additional driver, who must present his current license so that it can be included in the cover page of the contract.

What are the payment options?

The total amount of the car rental must be covered in its entirety at the time of signing the contract. Payment may be made in cash, by credit card, debit card or bank transfer (when payment is made two days in advance). Regardless of your payment method, a credit card must be presented at the counter to block the rental guarantee.


Rent & Rates


What type of coverage does the insurance that includes the rental of the vehicle that I have requested have?

At Casanova Rent a Car, all our rates include third-party damage protection, comprehensive coverage against damage, total loss or theft of the rented unit with a 10% deductible, medical expenses for the vehicle's occupants and funeral expenses. As well as all local and federal taxes included. The insurance policy does not cover vandalism or partial theft.

What types of rates do you offer for renting your vehicles?

 

For all our vehicles we offer 2 types of rates: The first is for only 1 day, which includes up to 250km of travel. The second is a daily rental scheme in which daily rate, weekly rate and monthly rate apply. In the daily rental scheme, the mileage is free.



During My Rental


Can I rent a vehicle at one branch and drop it off at another?

Without any problem. You pick up the vehicle at the branch where you opened your contract and you can return it at any of our 5 branches in CDMX and the metropolitan area.

What should I do if I have problems with the vehicle or have an accident?

You must contact the insurer at the telephone number that appears in the policy, and as a second step to our Contact Center at 8002272668 with the contract in your hand to be able to provide the data that will be requested.

Can I lose the protection or coverage of the insurance included or contracted in the rental of the vehicle?

Yes, there are the following situations where you will lose insurance protection:
- Driving while intoxicated or under the influence of any illicit substance.
- False declarations to the adjuster, especially those related to the change of driver.
- Failure to present a valid driver's license or that the type of license does not correspond to the type of vehicle or tonnage.
- Drive on impassable roads (rivers, streams, etc…) and/or exclusive lanes.
- Not reporting the accident to the insurance company.
- Aggravation of damage, when after the accident has occurred the use of the vehicle is continued and greater damage is produced.
